At the beginning of every year, there’s one event that I look forward to assist. At Tokyo Dome, during a week, all Japanese gastronomy and part of its traditions unite under the landmark venue. One of the main events during the eight days festival is the Nebuta night matsuri, where the huge floats parade on the main stage and folklore dances take place. At the end, the crowd is invited to participate dancing and take a closer to the floats.
An event that deserves to be visited if you’re in Tokyo in January. Tickets start from ¥1400 for one day. For more information on the exact dates of the Furusato Matsuri this year, check their official site.
