The first trip of the year couldn’t be any other place than the city that had adopted me as a second home. This time though, I won’t go alone. Readers from the blog, friends and followers from Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram had been asking for tips and curiosities many times before. I think it’s time to give voice to all of you by accepting challenges and quests to realize during the trip. Take a selfie with Godzilla. Eat more than 20 plates in a sushi buffet. Make a Live instagram in a karaoke singing wearing a costume, or watch a whole Kabuki act play are some of the requests followers have made so far. Some other requests are curioisities or where to find items, shops or cafe to visit. Any ideas? I will try to answer through Social Media to all your requests.

What are your plans?
Highlights of this short trip will be the Furusato Matsuri, the festival of festivals celebrated every January in Tokyo Dome City. Try to catch the last winter illuminations and New Year events, as my yearly visit to Meiji Jingu to get my fortune for the whole year. On my bucket list: a day trip to Kawagoe, stroll and explore Ginza, ghosts in Ikebukuro, a farewell to Odaiba landmark Gundam, and lots of urban photography are scheduled on this trip. It will be hard to fit everything in 10 days, and I’ll have to be flexible on my plans, but that’s what makes me more hyped about it, improvisation and travel flexibility.
